Sint Annaparochie
Sint Annaparochie, known locally as "Saint Anna", is the main village of the municipality of het Bildt. A number of Brolsmas have lived here. One of the first was Jantje Brolsma (born 1814), who married Doen Cornelis de Vries, a butcher in Sint Annaparochie. Jan Pieter Brolsma (1899 - 1983) was the director of the post office in Sint Annaparochie, among other posts. Rinze Brolsma (b. 1931) was married here. The painter Rembrandt van Rijn married Saskia van Uilenburge here in 1634; the church they were married in was rebuilt in 1682 with a unique octagonal shape:
