Sint Jacobiparochie
Sint Jacobiparochie has been home to a number of Brolsmas, beginning with Albert Jans Brolsma (1808 - 1881), a shoemaker. Hessel Jacobs Brolsma (1869 - 1922), emigrated from Sint Jacobiparochie to the United States. The most recent resident was Pieter Klass Brolsma (1905 - 1986).

The two-manual organ, built by organ-maker Van Dam in 1652, was restored in 1844, and is in remarkable condition. Organ stops include Flagiolet, Fluit, Viool, Holpyp, Cornet, Octaaf, and Trumpet. |
